Yes- again, a monnikenwerk
or “cambiare tutto per non cambiare nulla” (to change everything so that everything stays the same- “Il Gattopardo”)
Sorry if you tried to connect yesterday afternoon and earlier this morning.
Unfortunately, a service upgrade in the existing server resulted in a service disruption affecting cwcommunity.org, robertolofaro.com, gettingaroundtheworld.net
CWCommunity.Org was back online after few hours, while the other two were lost in cyberspace
therefore, I moved robertolofaro.com to my old faithful backup/backbone/R&D hosting provider (since 1998), Baremetal.Com, a Canadian provider that I kept for two instances of the same reason: during a previous blackout, and on 9/11, it was the only one of my hosting providers that was able to keep my services accessible.
And their service is done by real people. Small, streamlined, more expensive than the behemots- but reliable and with a fast service.
In few hours yesterday evening and night the service was back on with a completely new setup (faster, as well), with the usual small delays for the propagation of the new location around the world (yes, IP and DNS etc- for my geekier friends
) – special praise to James for his support.
