More than one month ago, I wrote that from August 16th I would have started using something that I suggested to Google for fun, my GoogleTranslateReady concept.
Then, I wrote that I had actually started the experiment in early August, in my “virtual village” on Draugiem.Lv
This is my report, one month later.

You know- I enjoy learning. And sharing what I learn- not just the knowledge that I acquired, but the approach.
It is funny: after more than one month of writing short (or not so short) multilingual blog entries, my stupid brain started building “visual patterns”
To recap: I write each line using a simplified English. Then, I test the Italian translation- to see if it makes sense.
If it does- I ask also the Latvian and Russian ones.
Why Latvian and Russian?
Because after 1994 I used to speak basic Latvian (occasionally fluent), that I learned in few months for practical reasons after studying one Summer in Sweden.
And I am currently finally starting to learn Russian- a project that I postponed since I was a teenager.
At the time, we were two blocs- and I wanted to understand what the other side meant
When I was learning Latin, we learned fast- by using a multi-line version of the original text.
Usually: one line in Latin, one line with the word-by-word translation, in the same order; and one line with an half-decent Italian translation.
Probably my 8 years (I think it was 1 year in my middle school, 2 years just for fun, and 5 years in high school) of Latin built some “imprints”.
And, after one month of multilingual scribbling, I started to notice over the last two weeks a funny issue.
I receive often messages in Latvian.
Recently, I started to be able to understand the meaning of most messages. Without the dictionary.
As an example of what I mean, I enclose today the d-gramata (as the blog is called inside the Latvian community) that I posted today.
Of course, about language learning in the XXI century.

a living language is not just its syntax and morphology. una lingua viva non è solo la sua sintassi e morfologia. dzīves valoda ir ne tikai sintaksē un morfoloģijā. Живой язык является не только его синтаксиса и морфологии.

my approach? in the past, books, movies, newspapers. expensive il mio approccio? in passato, libri, film, giornali. costose mana pieeja? kas agrāk, grāmatas, filmas, avīzes. dārgi мой подход? В прошлом, книги, фильмы, газеты. дорого
but some newspapers online have an e-mail or RSS (like a news channel). ma alcuni giornali online hanno un indirizzo e-mail o RSS (come un canale di notizie). bet daži laikraksti online ir e-pastu vai RSS (piemēram, ziņu kanāls). но некоторые газеты онлайн иметь адрес электронной почты или RSS (например, на пресс-канал).
and you can add tools to Word to pronounce a text as a native. ed è possibile aggiungere gli strumenti di Word per pronunciare un testo come un nativo. un varat pievienot instrumentus, lai Word izrunāt tekstu kā dzimtā. и вы можете добавить инструментов Word произносить текст в качестве родного.

I looked for online Dutch newspapers. Ho cercato online quotidiani olandesi. Es meklēju tiešsaistē holandiešu laikrakstos. Я посмотрел на онлайн голландских газетах.
eventually, I found one with the mix of news that I like- but I do not understand it (yet). Alla fine, ho trovato uno con il mix di notizie che mi piace, ma io non lo capisco (ancora). galu galā, es atradu vienu ar sajauc ar ziņām, kas man patīk, bet es nesaprotu to (pagaidām). В конце концов, я нашел один с сочетанием новость, которая мне нравится, но я не понимаю (пока).
I found online at the Hull university a Business Dutch course (20 + 10 lessons). Ho trovato on-line presso l’Università Hull un corso di lingua olandese (20 + 10 lezioni). Es atklāju tiešsaistē Halles universitātē Business holandiešu kursi (20 + 10 nodarbības). Я нашел в Интернете по адресу Университета Халла Бизнес Голландский курс (20 + 10 уроков).

so, I used a software to generate the MP3 of each lesson. così, ho usato un software per generare il MP3 di ogni lezione. jā, es mēdzu programmatūru, lai radītu MP3 katru stundu. Итак, я использовал программное обеспечение для создания MP3 каждого урока.
but I made it speak a little bit faster than usual. ma l’ho fatto parlare un po ‘più veloce del solito. bet es tā runāju nedaudz ātrāk nekā parasti. но я сделал это говорю немного быстрее, чем обычно.
why? perché? kāpēc? почему?
because I am stupid. perché io sono stupido. jo es esmu stulba. потому что я глупая.
when I use a foreign language, I try to say full phrases. quando uso una lingua straniera, cerco di dire frasi pieno. kad es lietot svešvalodu, es mēģinu pateikt pilnīgi frāzes. Когда я использовать иностранный язык, я стараюсь говорить полной фразы.
and I talk fast. e parlo in fretta. un es runāt ātri. и я говорю быстро.
so, I get fast replies. Così ricevo risposte veloci. jā, man ātri atbildes. Итак, я быстро получить ответы.
thereafter, I subscribed to the newsfeed of Tijd. successivamente, ho sottoscritto il newsfeed di Tijd. pēc tam, es abonējis NewsFeed par Tijd. в дальнейшем, я подписан на ленту из Tijd.
I am slowly starting to understand more than just the meaning- also all the words. Sto lentamente iniziando a capire di più che il significato anche tutte le parole. Man lēnām sāk saprast ne tikai nozīmē, arī visus vārdus. Я постепенно начинаю понимать больше, чем просто смысловой также всех слов.
The Dutch language is a close relative of German and English La lingua olandese è un parente stretto del tedesco e inglese Holandiešu valoda ir tuva radinieka vācu un angļu valodā Голландский язык является близким родственником немецкого и английского языков
